Jay Boylan, Professor
A specialist in studio and television production, Boylan holds an M.A. in Media Communications from Governor’s State University in Illinois. He is currently co-producer and director of Dialogue With Doti and Dodge, broadcast weekly on PBS, where Chapman University president Jim Doti and Kristina Dodge interview prominent guests on issues of local and national importance. Pete Weitzner, Associate Professor
Weitzner is a graduate of the master’s program at Northwestern’ Medill School of Journalism, and has been active in TV news for 20 years: reporting, anchoring, hosting and producing everything from daily news to an award-winning documentary. Today Weitzner hosts and produces The Chapman Report, a bi-weekly analysis and feature show on the Southern California economy and anchors the business news on Real Orange, both on KOCE-TV, Orange County’s PBS affiliate. Jeff Swimmer, Assistant Professor
Swimmer has produced, directed and written documentaries for PBS, BBC, National Geographic, Discovery, CNN, The History Channel, A&E and many others. His Northern Ireland: Dying For Peace (supervising producer, CNN) won a 2001 DuPont Award. His films have taken him to dozens of countries, and range in subject matter from 9/11 (BBC), the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami (PBS, National Geographic), and the 1956 Andrea Doria ship disaster (PBS), to demographic turmoil in Europe (CNN), an undersea Hawaiian island (A&E) and off-beat profiles of Beethoven and Andy Warhol (A&E).

Brad Buckner has written for top TV comedies and dramas for over 30 years. His credits include Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Lois and Clark, and Beggars and Choosers.
John David Currey (’98) is a vice president of on-air promotion at the NBC television network, one of the youngest executives at NBC. “JD” has worked his way up from posts at NBC which included director of drama and reality promotions. Currey’s NBC career began as an intern on The Tonight show. At Chapman, he co-created Nightcap, the TV program’s long-running late-night talk/comedy show.
Eddie Delbridge is one of the leading awards-show producers in Hollywood. Delbridge and his partners produce the red-carpet shows of the Golden Globes, The Academy Awards and the Emmy’s for E! Networks and the TV Guide Channel. Previously Delbridge was the managing editor of E! News Daily and a producer for the Orange County News Channel.
Paul Higgins is a tremendously prolific producer of sports-action television programming. His company, Athletes in Motion, produces shows for outlets including ESPN and Fox Sports.
Bill Macatee is a nationally-renowned network sportscaster for thirty years. Macatee is a regular play-by-play announcer and correspondent for events like NFL Football, Wimbledon, and The Masters golf tournament. In 1982 NBC promoted Macatee to sports anchor on The Today Show, making him the youngest network sportscaster in industry history.
Ann Pulice co-anchors Real Orange, the Emmy and Golden-Mike-winning news program on KOCE-TV, Orange County’s PBS affiliate. Prior to KOCE, Pulice reported and produced in Chico, California.
Sally Rubin is an independent documentary filmmaker and editor based in Los Angeles. Her work includes films for PBS' Frontline, American Experience, and POV series, as well as her current documentary project, MINE, slated for national PBS broadcast in 2010.
Mike Taylor is the news director at KOCE-TV, Orange County’s PBS affiliate and includes in his credits the Emmy and Golden-Mike winning news program Real Orange, which Taylor helped launch in 1995. Taylor has also reported and produced in markets including El Paso, Texas and Orange County, California.
Dave Turner is an award-winning cameraman for KCAL-KCBS-TV, the Viacom owned TV stations in the Los Angeles-television market. Turner is a 25-year-veteran of one of the most competitive news markets in the country.
Jeff Rowe is an award-winning writer who has plied his trade with publications including the Wall Street Journal and Associated Press (AP) For some twenty years Rowe’s byline was among the most frequent to appear in the business pages of The Orange County Register, and most recently Rowe launched Daybreak OC, Orange County’s first high-definition, live news program.
